Today's word is...

I came across two words today that I had read before but couldn't define:

dilettante
esoteric

If you can use either in a sentence without looking them up, you are a better lexicologist than me.

    I can write the sorts of sentences that my students write when they do vocabulary exercises:

    1. She was a dilettante.

    2. I am very esoteric.

    See? That wasn't so hard.
